If you follow Justin Taylor’s blog, read the interview with Andrew Peterson conducted by Robert Sagers. In the interview Andrew expresses his view of art from a Christian perspective. He provides answers I haven’t found better articulated by other Christian artists who’ve been asked these sorts of questions about their work. His answers are thoughtful and though-provoking – you’ll notice these are things Andrew has thought about a great deal during his career. When I saw him in concert a few years ago I could tell from his dialog between sets and by his lyrics that this is one singer/songwriter “Christian music” fans should listen to. I think I’ll go check out iTunes and see what I can find that I haven’t heard, and perhaps some stuff I’ve heard but have forgotten about over the years.
